Meet the Team

Amy Hogan (Host/Producer)
A Hufflepuff by choice and by Pottermore, Amy picked up her first Harry Potter book at age 9. Now, two decades later, her love for the series and the magical world is as strong as ever. Amy has been heavily involved in online fandom for over 15 years, formerly acting as a video content manager for MuggleNet and coauthoring two books (The Ultimate Wizarding Guide to Magical Studies and The Ultimate Wizarding World History of Magic). She has worked on several podcasts, including SpeakBeasty: A Fantastic Beasts Podcast (producer/host) and Promptly Potter (host). In the Muggle world, Amy’s background is in broadcast journalism, and she currently works as a video editor and teacher, passing on a love for visual storytelling to high school students. Amy currently resides in upstate New York with her cat, Luna.
Nicole Olmsted (Host/Producer)
For Nicole, a Slytherin (who admittedly lived as a Ravenclaw before she realized the truth), Harry Potter has been one of the main constants in her life. She has a Scholastic Book Fair in the late ’90s to thank for that! Now that she has two Harry Potter-inspired tattoos, you could say the series will literally always be a part of her life. Nicole has been involved in the online Wizarding World fandom space for nearly a decade through her former work for MuggleNet. She has had the opportunity to attend and provide coverage on several fan conventions and events and the pleasure of having Tom Felton comment on the “Wingardium Leviosa” embroidered on her shirt collar after a press event in NYC for the then-upcoming attraction Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort (which she would later wait nearly 8 hours in the blazing Orlando sun and heat to ride opening weekend). When not at a theme park in Orlando, Nicole resides in upstate New York.

Tom Dell Agnola (Host/Editor)
A proud Gryffindor, Tom embarked on his magical journey in late 2001 with the release of the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone film. From that moment on, he became a solid fan of the series, with his love for both the films and the books inspiring him to pursue creative ventures that have shaped him both personally and professionally. Riding Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort for the first time back in 2012 brought a tear or two to his eyes. Tom’s previous experience in the fandom includes five years as a video editor for MuggleNet, where he had the privilege of interviewing key figures like Alan Gilmore, the art director for the Harry Potter films, and MinaLima, the films’ visionary graphic design team. As a teenager, Tom even filmed his own remakes of the Harry Potter films (though he will keep those hidden away for good). While the books provided a magical escape from the harsh realities of the world, the films will always hold a special place in his heart, marking the beginning of a lifelong devotion to the Wizarding World.
Liz Young (Social Media Manager)
Liz is a Ravenclaw by Sorting Hat, though she identifies as a Slytherclaw. After adamantly denying she would enjoy the series, she caved when her older sister gifted her a copy of Sorcerer’s Stone for her 10th birthday. Liz has been involved in the online Wizarding World fandom space for over a decade, having volunteered with two different fansites, coauthored The Ultimate Wizarding Guide to Magical Studies, and been a member of the social media team for SpeakBeasty: A Fantastic Beasts Podcast. Armed with two degrees in anthropology and a love for writing, Liz works in entertainment journalism while residing in sunny Arizona with her husband and their cat, Gotham Gomez.

Kimira V. Leonard (Social Media)
Kimira V. Leonard is a Slytherin, writer, and coauthor of The Unofficial Harry Potter Bestiary and The Ultimate Wizarding World History of Magic. She formerly worked as the social media director for a Wizarding World fansite. Originally from Czechia, Kimira currently lives in Nebraska with her husband and family of magical creatures. When she isn’t working on her fantasy novels, she enjoys exploring nature with a camera, expanding her to-be-read pile, making music, and tending to her growing collection of succulents (that’s right, Slytherins love plants too!)
Lizzie Pouliot (Social Media)
Lizzie is a bit of a Hatstall as a Gryffinclaw, with Pottermore first identifying her as a Ravenclaw in high school and then a Gryffindor in college. She was gifted her first Sorcerer’s Stone DVD by her late grandmother and remembers watching it for the first time, lying on a blanket while snow fell outside. After failing to connect with the Prisoner of Azkaban book, shelving it for months, she finally got past the chapter “Talons and Tea Leaves,” and the rest is history. She spent five years covering a variety of events for a Harry Potter fansite, including off-Broadway plays, opening-day coverage of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and fan conventions. Most recently, she served as a host and social media manager for SpeakBeasty: A Fantastic Beasts Podcast. Lizzie is insanely excited to join another project with her friends and connect with fans around the globe. In her Muggle life, she works for a telecommunications company in customer care readiness and resides on Long Island with her husband; cat, Leia; and dog, Rowan—and she’s also most likely reading a book right now.

Carolyn Sehgal (Graphic Designer)
Carolyn is a Slytherin in every sense of the House and what that entails, except she’s very much not evil and totally would have come back to help at Hogwarts during the final battle after making sure all the underage wizards were safe. She discovered Harry Potter in high school, and it became an obsession that would annoy her less fandom-involved family and friends for the rest of her adult life. She lives in a Chicago suburb with her Hufflepuff husband (he did not Sort himself) and her two children, whom she is turning into Potterheads and Percy Jackson fans as you read this. In terms of Fantastic Beasts, Carolyn is a Horned Serpent and is very proud of that fact. When forced to be in the Muggle/No-Maj world, Carolyn is an illustrator and graphic designer and is happy to have worked on podcasts such as SpeakBeasty: A Fantastic Beasts Podcast and now this one, with hopefully more fandom fun in her future.
Felicia Wilda (Website Copy Editor)
When Pottermore Sorted Felicia into Hufflepuff in 2011, she initially cried (“What?! No! I’m a Ravenclaw!”). However, it didn’t take her long to fully embrace her new House and everything it stands for. From midnight book releases (shout-out to Borders) and opening-night film showings to various fan conventions and press events, Felicia’s done it all. She even co-ran the Harry Potter fansite MuggleNet for five years, where she started as a transcriber for the podcast Alohomora!, got a decade of experience copyediting (including The Ultimate Wizarding World Guide to Magical Studies and The Ultimate Wizarding World History of Magic), and met and moved across the country for the Slytherin who would become her husband. Originally from California, Felicia now resides in western Massachusetts, where she works as a proofreader.

Jennifer Rapp (Social Media Copy Editor)
A true Hufflepuff through and through, Jennifer has been a fan of Harry Potter since her uncle gifted her the first book. She let the Wizarding World consume her in the very best sense of the word and has been along for the ride with Harry and co. ever since. She used to do transcription for Alohomora!, a podcast done by the Harry Potter fansite MuggleNet, and since then has transitioned into doing copy edits for the site’s videos and editorials. When she has to return to the Muggle world, she is a school librarian, helping students discover the magic of books and foster a love of reading. And when she isn’t working, she enjoys crocheting trinkets for family and friends. Jennifer currently resides in Southern California.
