Tucked away in a less busy section of wizarding Paris in Universal’s Epic Universe, Bar Moonshine might not be on your radar as a first-time guest at the park, but this drinks-only vendor offers a variety of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to enjoy while walking around the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic.
On a recent trip with podcasting friends from several different shows, we combined efforts to try each of the specialty beverages offered at Bar Moonshine.
Beau Thé Bleu d’Occamy: Occamy Tea
Menu Description
a cooling blue refresher served with a magical tea bag that transforms to a glittering purple when mixed in
I’d seen this magical transforming drink all over Instagram, but no one was really talking about the taste. Having had it, now I know why. It’s blue raspberry soda served with a cute sachet of “occamy tea” – purple cotton candy with glitter in it. Mix the “tea” into the drink and your blue raspberry soda turns purple, glittery, and grape-flavored. 10/10 gimmick, 4/10 for the actual drink.

Lobe Blaster
Menu Description
a potent mix of moonshine, limoncello, absinthe, lemon juice, club soda, and simple syrup garnished with a rosemary sprig and layered with an émulsion verte
This was the drink I was most interested in on the Bar Moonshine menu. It tasted mostly of limoncello, but you got some absinthe if you were looking for it. The moonshine disappeared into the drink. It was a good drink, and I’d get it again.

Sherbet Lemon
Menu Description
vodka paired with a subtly sweetened herbaceous liqueur, lemon bitters, ginger beer, lemon sugar rim and edible flower
I was so excited to try this drink, but I was so sad when I tasted it. With “lemon” in the title, I was expecting a sour kick that never came. It kind of reminded me of lemon[-]scented Pledge. I was unable to finish the drink and will not be giving it another chance.

Fleur 75
Menu Description
London dry gin, elderflower liqueur, brut sparkling wine, lemon juice, simple syrup, lemon spiral
I love a good gin drink, and this one did not disappoint. The gin and brut was a surprising combination, and the brut in particular was the strongest flavor in the drink. It overall had a light and refreshing taste, with a bit of sass, not unlike the witch it is named after. I would definitely order it again, even if they were light on the lemon flavor and spiral.

Gigglewater
Menu Description
amber shimmering elderflower prosecco spritz
We had to raise a glass to Jacob Kowalski and order a Gigglewater in his honor. As someone who doesn’t like “heavy” alcohol, I found this drink to be light and refreshing on a hot Orlando day. I especially enjoyed grabbing one after dinner and sipping it while wandering around wizarding Paris at night.

Philosopher’s Old Fashioned
Menu Description
bourbon, aromatic bitters, simple syrup, orange zest
It was very good. You could tell it was their own original variant of it, and it wasn’t too sweet, which was a plus. I’d get it again for sure.
